RIDER PLEASE STAY BACK © Sometimes cars follow too close with our kids on the back. This shirt allows us to introduce kids to the joys of the sport of motorcycling, while making them more visible. These shirts made their debut in Seaside Oregon, at Bikefest '07. On the way down and back, my daughter had on the shirt you see, and I noticed that all but 1 car that came up behind me, FADED BACK after reading the shirt and stayed back approx 500ft / 3-4 seconds (at highway speed). GOD FORBID, but IF you go down with your child on the back, and both get tossed into the bushes, how quickly do you think rescuers will find your child in the gear they currently wear? REMEMBER: MOST people will look for the DRIVER of the bike; NOT a passenger. |

RIDER PLEASE STAY BACK © If you're like my wife and new to the sport, this is a great way to be visible as well as let other drivers know that you're still honing your skills. This way you don't get honked at for stalling on a hill, or a stop light, and drivers will pass with more care. It's also great for group rides, so the faster folks don't blow past you too close and startle you. Once you've surpassed the "New Rider" stage, keep it in your tank/saddle bag INSIDE OUT, for night time or when it rains and the light is flat. Or HECK, DONATE IT to another NEW RIDER you know. |
